((Apparently my first post didn't work, so let's pretend it never happened))We hear a lot of information throughout our day that our brains cannot quickly process, so we lose the information. The info we do retain, is listened to.
To put it simply: If you're not interested, you're hearing; if you are interested, you are listening.
We all know the obvious definitions of those two words, but I believe we each have our own personal definitions.
I have a few goals for these blogs:
- Explore the relationship between these two unappreciated words.
- Get the readers to start thinking about their own interpretation of what it is to hear; what it is to listen. (Which leads to...)
- Allow a door or two to open within the mind of another person, so that they become curious and interested in this subject.
- Hopefully bring a different perspective to select relationships, whether they're just friendships and/or 'loveships'.
Also, I am extremely passionate about music, and each day I would like to possibly introduce a new band/sound/genre/appreciation/curiosity to anyone who comes across this blog. If we listen to the music, then the reason is that it affects us emotionally and/or physically. If we hear the music, let's find something else!
